National Pub Poker League provides No Limit Texas Hold'em tournaments around New Zealand. Our games are very social and are a great place to get together with your mates for a beer and some cards. Our motto is 'Eat, Drink, Play!' and we encourage you to find your local event (most likely your local pub!) and come on down and play the world's fastest growing game. The Regionals Finals and Season Details pages will tell you which applies in your region. Regional finals are held to find the best player in every 13 week season. To qualify for these games you need to either have won a venue or to be the top 8 (non-winner) at that venue. For each final table you place on (Top 8) you receive a share of the points pool. These points are posted to your account within 2 weeks of play and will allow you to be ranked in not only your Venue, but also your Region and across all of NZ.
Whether you're a first timer, amateur or 'pro' player, our tournaments give you the opportunity to learn and develop your Hold'em skills. Here you can try bluffing, raising, playing short stacked and multi-table tournament play. The league is perfect for those who just want to have a good time, as well as those who want to learn how to play against these looser, more aggressive players.
